4/21/2010 10:43:54 PM *Over the years, I have used Parabolic SAR a lot ... it is completely unique in it's intended use. I think it's maybe time to give this indicator another look. I have added Parabolic SAR to this filter's "group of indicators" ... and have updated the original post of this thread. fwiw ---------- A fairly eclectic mix of Technical Indicators are included in this "filter / system" ... to be sure ... BUT... I feel like this "old school" Parabolic SAR addition COULD be a nice tweak to the "filter / system" ... as it adds an additional visual to the chart set-up ... and provides both Trend information ... as well as possible Entry and Exit considerations. It ALSO adds (fairly significantly) to the GOAL ... of making this MORE than a "filter" ...but, rather...an actual "trading system" ... for screening, analyizing and facilitating trade decisions. I'll play around with it for a while and see how it works out and fits in ... "within the context of the other indicators" in the "filter / system" ! |

4/23/2010 12:17:08 AM ...the "Bulls" are putting up a brave fight to hold 1200 on the $SPX... ...that said...the ridiculously ridiculous turn in the Major Indices today...and make NO mistake...it WAS fuckin' ridiculous ...was just a last ditch effort !!! (imo) Further ... the $SPX (even though miraculously closing slightly higher today) ... made a lower high and a lower low than yesterday... AND ...obviously the swing pivot high made on 4/15 has yet to be taken out. I will be watching the 4/15 (~ 1215) pivot high ... as well as the H/L from today ... closely tomorrow to try and derive some clues. Meanwhile ... I wait for the inevitable !!! ...All In My Ridiculously Ridiculous Humble Opinion Of Course... |

4/23/2010 12:32:30 AM It's because the talking heads are pumping the overbought market, we are soooo overdue for a correction, bla, bla bla. This is why I think it will grind higher. At this stage my time frame is minutes, nothing held overnight. |
