Closing out my XIV trade today - bought 3,000 shares yesterday at $111.25. Did not catch the drop to $108 but sold 2,000 shares at $113.00 this morning in PM. Limit order in place for the remaining shares at $113.00.
Trade closed - net gain of $5250 before commissions.
100% in cash going into the weekend.

The ^VIX is incredibly low (at 9.03 at the time of this writing). I dipped my toe in TVIX (2,000 shares at $8.20) right near the close. Not generated from any specific system, just a gut feel that the volatility is perhaps too low in the short term.
Small bet, no significant risk.

I was thinking VIX at 9.25 will be the new high (:
SPY is at top of channel and is overbought, probability of a down day is high.
XIV...is showing a pennant, price action is pointing to higher prices, with a VIX this low it's anyone's guess which way it will go.
seasonality: in the last 20-yrs November has been a good month for stocks....America is great again!!

yeah .. i know the news hasn't been good on TEVA .. but hopefully I'm buying when the bad news is the worst at bargain prices ... i typically only short term trade ... but i'm looking out farther on this one ... i'm thinking this one will be substantially higher well down the road ...

What I like about TEVA is they have a numerous drugs in their pipeline, still think this sell off is way overdone.

what a great observation JP. was just looking at JNUG ...getting a bit excited. Might take it down in pre market.
Also, tommorrow looks like it might be a down day, but at some point soon I think AMD is ready to pop.

I see JNUG line is $14.90, I do have a buy signal but wouldn't hang on to it too long since it's in a down trend.,,glty
