Nice trade Kevin,
Will you let us know when you get out of long XIV?

Sure, but I trade XIV based on a set of filters, buying a "unit" each time a filter triggers. Last night I got 5 BUY and 2 SELL signals, so I bought only three units.

Currently have 12 units in play, at various entry prices. I add or sell units so it is not always a typical "close out that trade" sort of process. Often I sell a few units only to buy them back the next day - usually at a higher price but I am trying to follow the system exactly and not try to second guess it.

Also, the filters do not predict dips like what happened this morning - I would have bought the same number of shares if the price were 116 rather than 106.

Sounds complicated.

The system is complicated by SF standards (it is composed of 40 different XIV long filters developed in Stratasearch), but trading it is easy. Signals are generated each night and are bought/sold at the open the next day. I trade 10 units using this approach, and also use a separate neural network filter set as well.

I do not post trades so much any more because the filters I use are not readily translated into SF code, and each filter has separate exit criteria.

My call on XIV is
Sideways movement then a mini-correction

RSI(14) getting over that 80.00 line.
IMHO - its be careful time.

This is an interesting XIV setup. This can break either way.

Nice day today - I got one SELL signal last night and tried all day to get it filled at $114. Finally closed out 1 unit at 112.80 for a gain of $6800. Still holding 11 units, but my Neural Network system triggered three SELL and 1 BUY signal. I will sell 2 units on Monday based on this. The SS system will not generate any signals until later tonight, but I'm guessing there will be a net SELL signal as well.

You can never tell what Trump will do over the weekend.

Nice. My system triggered an Xiv sell but another indicator that I usually wait for to cross, merely touched, so now I'm not sure which way to go. I'm mostly cash waiting it out.
Most of my money is now in foreclosures which I consider a sure thing. I find buying
1.5 mill. homes for 600k very exciting. I have one more I'm looking at and will try to get before this real estate market begins to stagnate. I think it will peak in 2 years.

Just look at that manipulation on oil. That's gonna be one hell of a long some day.
