I wanted to buy a farm during this year but the cheapest one was like 300k and up to10mil since I’m near wine country, but was alot cheaper further out. I’m too old to farm but want to. I grow what I can in the yard but the pool takes up a lot of room. I’ve got Swiss chard tomatoes herbs oranges lemons limes figs kumquats etc. last time the real estate market collapsed in an odd pattern around the stock market, it’s hard to tell but I feel there is at least 1 more good year then possible dump or things will go up for 5 years and all will be super expensive. My father just passed in Greece and it’s been a nightmare trying to untangle that web of acquisition as the lawyer says he left 25 properties. I don’t need them but I appreciate them for my 3 kids futures which may be bleak if inflation continues to rise.
Would be nice if someone would do a study of how housing has timed the stock market historically.

@shilllihs
The market will keep being long until it isn't. There always is a Bull market some where be it stocks or inverse etfs
How about planting some Navel Orange tree's like I had in Florida when lived there. Or have someone replant Cape Myrtle tree's that already well grown. The cape myrtles tree stay bloomed through out the winter months as far as I know.

I have to study the real estate market in relation to the stock market for my own needs. I’ve never heard of Cape Myrtle oranges, I’ll look into them.

Thanx, my father was extremely frugal and secretive. When the lawyer called and said he left a massive estate we were all shocked. I actually have to drive 90 minutes to LA. this week to drop off papers for an Apostille, there’s a lot of red tape but it’s part of the process.
Honestly other than buying foreclosures on hubzu at huge discounts I haven’t studied the market much.
There’s no great deals on that site right now which tells me that the market is not done yet.

Took my profit in Tqqq and will try to buy lower, maybe 69.
Could be a bad move but I hate drops.

Exactly what I didn’t want to happen, Tqqq spikes and I’m out. They are psychological geniuses, now I chase or wait.
