In backwardation, does everything reverse? Will Xiv suffer and Tvix do well when Vix is down?
In the same way that contango acts as a drag on VXX, backwardation acts as a drag on XIV. However, backwardation in the VIX is relatively uncommon, happening only about 10% of the time over the last 5 years.
However, it does not necessarily mean that TVIX will do well if the VIX is down for a day, even in backwardation. Think of it more as a current that flows - contango is swimming upstream while backwardation is swimming downstream.

I get backwardation, I was just saying would the same phenomenon of not tracking be the same in reverse.

The answer PT, is DUST. I was going to say Dust but it just wouldn't of made sense. Let's see if this
is the preceding move before the big tank. If so, going to 90+.

ha exactly is the answer. the truth is I was looking at it but didnt think there would be a correlation between a market dip and DUST.

seeing some resistance with JDST hitting 50. If JDST blows past 50 today I will sit out. If 50 holds as resistance, will short it for a short swing trade.
