I have partnered up on a real estate deal costing 820k. In 2007 the value of of this property was 1.9 m.
So, this will now leave me with merely 16,500 to trade daily.
When an amazing opportunity arises, you can't pass it up.
Real estates where it's at. Not saying trading is for the lower tier or anything, there are some amazingly intelligent people trying to push a boulder up a mountain but, you know.

nice shillihs. which do you enjoy more? I like investing and trading more, even though like yourself I made more in real estate.
I did not enjoy working with real estate agents and contractors much. Plus when I took out a note I had a PG on it, so if it went sideways it could be detrimental. money is in larger clumps. much more risk in real estate I think. and when money comes and goes in large clumps, people do some really unethical things. but everyone has a working environment they like more than others.

Best plays Xiv Ung Uso.
Buy a position in Xiv, on major pullbacks add 200%. Ride to 115.
Buy and hold Ung Uso.
The way to make serious and consistent money is to not trade, and to add multiples on pullbacks,
when you are certain you are in a bull market. So that means go to work, make money, and have the ballz
to add large sums of money when things look real dark.
Let's think of stocks as if we were buying tshirts to sell. We buy for 6 bucks and try to sell for 15.
A new opportunity arises where you can get some shirts for 3 bucks. We don't unload the 6 buck shirts, we load up on the 3buck shirts. We unload some shirts at 10 in case the hot tshirt market starts to peter out, but we hold some shirts to try to sell at full price. A fine mix of both.👚

I hate real estate, I don't like renters at all. But this will be a 2 year flip.
It was a foreclosure that we will make an instant 300k on so we had to use all cash.
But I also hate gambling and the churn of the market.
Tell me, would you rather rely on steady income or trying to make a living by trying to swat a fly in the market?

its about managing risk, right?. I felt much more risk even holding income properties due to vacancy etc. It depends what your financial goals are I suppose.

You have (in my opinion) correctly been calling for XIV to appreciate in the coming months, which makes me curious about what is driving this recommendation.
As of 1/17 XIV closed at $55.41. I say stay long XIV until the level of contango in the ^VIX futures drops to 5% or below (currently at 16.5% but we are going to see the current options expire tomorrow so the new value on Friday looks to be about 8-9%). The ^VIX term structure clearly supports XIV right now, and shows no immediate evidence of changing.

I guess to answer your question, my system has me in Xiv for the long time frame until monthly CCI(39) goes under -150. For short term exit, im using a combo of Acc. Bands, BB. Xiv is bumping at upper BAND which may not mean that it will reverse right away, but that it's running out of steam and that upside will be limited to about 10% before a correction, but down side will be substantial in the short term.
I no longer have much cash in the market as I had to use it for other transactions, so whatever I do have is just for my entertainment.
